How Much Did Aladdin Cost To Make?

Aladdin is a musical fantasy 123 movies film by Guy Ritchie. Guy Ritchie co-wrote the screenplay of Aladdin with John August. The film is produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Aladdin is surely going to be Disney's next big blockbuster this summer. Aladdin certainly has the budget of a studio tentpole. Over the past few years, Disney has been in the business of producing live-action remakes of their animated classics. Recently they remake movies like The Jungle Book, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. Aladdin hit from 1992 is the latest addition to this ever-growing list. It arrives in theaters just after two short months of Disney’s Dumbo. If you look at the movies like Dumbo, Alice Through the Looking Glass you’ll see that every Disney live-action remake has not been financially successful. But most of them was successful posting strong numbers at the box office. Movies like Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast is a member of the $1 billion club. Jon Favreau's Jungle Book was also such a big hit that it landed him the movie Lion King. Surely Disney will be banking on Aladdin to be the part of successful movies. Aladdin will surely earn a huge amount of money to become profitable.

Aladdin's budget is reportedly about $183 million. The huge budget is making it one of the more expensive Disney remakes in recent time. If you compare it with others like The Jungle Book cost $175 million, Maleficent cost $180 million, Beauty and the Beast cost $160 million, and Cinderella had a price tag of just $95 million. This huge budget of Aladdin is also higher than some comic book adaptations like Captain Marvel and Aquaman. With Aladdin’s huge budget it means the movie needs to earn approximately around $350 million in order to make its money back. Aladdin has to end up with the movies like Cinderella ($543.5 million) or Maleficent ($758.5 million) to go down as a bona fide hit. It'll be interesting to see how Aladdin manage to do it. Aladdin is one of the most popular titles of Disney. It also has a vast fan base that will make the movie more interested to see on the big screen again. There is also not much movies in the way of direct competition with Aladdin this weekend. It seems like Aladdin could get off to a good start since early positive reviews and reactions. This summer will see a huge excess of tentpoles vying for ticket sales. They are going to start coming out at a rapid pace now. Next week everyone will see the release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Dark Phoenix. Though Aladdin is beloved as animated movies but still the live-action remake doesn't have the same feeling of an event like July's The Lion King. As Aladdin is popular aroun the world hopefully it gets a nice boost from the international box office and with a good amount of earning it go down as a hit.
